Calendar Jul 23, 2018 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

This camp is for any level of LEGO Roboteer!  So if you are a rookie or a veteran this camp can take you and help move your skills forward.  We start of with some basics since even the veterans have often forgotten a lot since last year, and of course some beginners are more advanced. Our camp staff try as quickly as possible to figure out which you are.  Usually one staff member will be working primarily with the beginners and one primarily with the advanced, with the third floating as needed.

Open to ages 9 to 13, no experience needed.

Programming in Minecraft - Augusta

$335

with Loren Arford

Calendar Jul 30, 2018 at 9 am, runs for 1 week

With over 100,000,000 registered users, and over 34,000,000 paid computer users and another 30,000,000 paid mobile users, Minecraft has become one of the world’s top games, and certainly the top creative game.

There are almost 1,000,000 people playing Minecraft at any moment!  You probably know lots of people who spend time creating houses, roads, towns, mines, as well as gather experience points by battling monsters (mobs).

What if you could start learning how to change what you are doing, not just playing with what the game comes with?  In the Programming in Minecraft Camp we will be using the MinecraftEDU software and Tynker software to start learning how to modify the gaming environment. Will there be time to "just play the game?", yes, but the focus will be on learning new skills that relate to programming in the environment.

You do not need to have a Minecraft account, but you should bring your login information with you if you have an account so you can play as yourself.

Open to ages 10 to 14

Payment plan available: $150 deposit plus 2 payments of $92.50, paid weekly

This camp gives campers the chance to choose from 6 different STEM sessions (2 Sessions a day). We will have LEGO Robotics, Coding and Programming with Minecraft, 3D printing and design, Vex Robotics, Build Your own Computer Camp and more to come. The only activity that will be an additional cost is Build Your Own Computer Camp. The cost of that session is $350 additional. The reason for this activity fee is to cover the cost of the desktop computer the camper builds and then takes home.

After dinner we will be having other activities for the campers to do. We will be doing some team building, playing games, swimming, nature walks, stargazing, movie night etc… We will be showing campers how all of these other activities are tied in with STEM. So please join us for our overnight camp and have some fun with STEM.
